刘士勇：男，1978年出生，华中科技大学物理学院副教授、博士生导师。

学习经历：1996年至2000年就读于北京大学化学与分子工程学院，获理学学士学位。

     2000年至2006年就读于北京大学化学与分子工程学院，获理学博士学位。

     2006年至2009年在美国堪萨斯大学生物信息学中心进行博士后研究。

     2014年5月至2014年9月在美国堪萨斯大学生物信息学中心，访问学者。

工作经历: 2009年加入华中科技大学物理学院。

研究方向：蛋白质-蛋白质相互作用、蛋白质-RNA相互作用、基因预测

研究成果：长期从事蛋白质-蛋白质相互作用预测与设计、蛋白质-核酸相互作用和基因编码潜能预测相关的研究，在功能蛋白质设计、蛋白质-蛋白质相互作用、蛋白质-RNA相互作用及复合物结构预测和编码潜能预测等领域取得了一系列创新成果。截止2024年2月22日，在Current Opinion in Structural Biology、PNAS、Plos computational biology、Proteins、Bioinformatics、Nucleic Acids Research、Communications Biology、RNA Biology等期刊上发表论文35篇，Google Scholar引用总数为1332次，H-index为20。相关论文被Science, Nature chemical biology, Nature Chemistry, Current opinion in structural biology, Nature reviews Molecular cell biology, Nature methods, Nature Communications, PLoS computational biology等顶级期刊多次正面引用，多次参加国内学术会议并作口头报告，是Bioinformatics, Nucleic Acids Research, BMC Genomics, Briefings in Bioinformatics, Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling, Journal of Computational Chemistry, Communications Biology 等期刊审稿人。

Professor Shiyong Liu received a B.S. and a Ph.D. from Peking University, China, both in Chemistry. He did postdoctoral research in Center for Bioinformatics at the University of Kansas on protein-protein docking. He began his faculty appointment in School of Physics at the Huazhong University of Science & Techonology in July, 2009.

The Liu group explores the principal of protein-protein (RNA, DNA, peptide and ligand) recognition.
